today was good.
grandmummy was brought back to my grandparents house to rest in her own room with comfort :) i guess she really didn't like being in the hospital for so long to begin with.
let me just say, the air-purified room at her home is so so much less freezing than the room at pantai :(
still i cant say i won't miss the addictive hand sanitizers they provide at the hospital.
and the free latex gloves i've been taking for no reason at all. and face masks.
yep i'm still the same freebie stealing girl who's addicted to sharpie marker pens and hand sanitizers. SUE ME.

we were at their place from 5-11 today. longest time i've spent there since we moved out in 1999 :)
i was in the room watching her for over an hour tonight holding her hand as she was semi-concious from all the meds and morphine. still, i think i know where i got my bullet-proof hand grip from. she wouldn't even let me change hands :S
plus, i took the time to reflect and go all wow. i mean for someone who's 80+ her skin is so freakin flawless

and i still don't know what these wires are for. do they hurt? :( the hospice nurse is staring at me.
at least her breathing's a little peaceful now. but it gets scary when she stops for minutes in between :|

apparently grandmummy's sister is one feisty lady. she stays in australia in a home because she's got slight dementia. today she tried singing you are my sunshine to grandmummy over the phone. the conversation went something like :

grandaunty: HELLO? hello ruby?! if you're not there i'm putting the phone down! DAVID, DAVID why isn't she talking?!
grandmummy: ....
grandaunty: you are myy sunshineee-HELLO HELLO?!

ee if i'm not that cute when i'm 80 just slap me.

its okay grandmummy :) tomorrow i'm bringing my cd player so we can spend time listening to judy garland and fred aistere and everything else you'll smile to. quality time yo.
tomorrow you better wake up and tell me how britney my voice sounded k.
and i'll tell you about everything thats been happening. cause i know you can hear me even when your eyes are closed <3
